I don't see why they wouldn't. The folks I've spoken to down there seem nice enough and genuinely wanted to help. Of course that might change if we want to poke around their equipment, but we won't know until we try, right?

[Offering services in exchange seems like a simple option, or at the very least they can find out where to acquire the equipment for themselves. If its a hard sell, maybe they could be persuaded to assist in the little project if they explain what they are trying to do and what data the scanners could collect.]
