Codi lets Jack stew on that one, punctuating the awkward silence with a glance behind her and a sharply raised eyebrow. But any chance of that changing to venom goes away when he offers to help.

"Sure!" she chirps with a pleasant smile, waving him over to join her by the bed. This is not the outcome Codi was hoping for - pairing up with someone she could mooch knowledge off of would be her preferred - but at least Jack is continuing to follow her lead, and attempting to be useful to boot.
