Luckily the Doctor's dislike of pears paired with his short attention span means that he's already lost interest in the pear-loving ghost and Link who's trying to allow them to continue loving them.

The new arrival of other ghosts are far more enticing anyway. One of them tug at the Doctor's tote bag where he's keeping the oranges. "Calm down - you're going to get an orange. You'd think they could just reach through the bag and take it themselves being translucent and all." He huffs and pulls one out, sending the ghost happily on their way. "Apples are fine as long as they're crisp. Let's keep moving - we're going to run out of oranges before we're at the shrine."
