Link can't tell that anything is wrong; as far as he can see, Clara seems to be casting just fine. And besides, even if she was more visibly struggling, Link wouldn't be sure about interrupting anyway - everything he'd heard about this mission suggested that would be bad.

Not to mention, he's got other problems to deal with now. Four Sylphid have emerged from the trees; perhaps drawn by the sound of the boar's screams as it died.

Already they are raising their guns - two pointed at Link, and two at Clara. He can't afford to hesitate. Before they can fire, he races towards them - and snaps his fingers.

Around Link electricity crackles, as the ghostly visage of an seven-foot tall woman brings forth a sphere of lightning, shocking everyone nearby. He'd made sure to get far away enough from Clara, but all four of the Sylphid are stunned.

Hopefully he can take care of all of them before they can move again - or at the very least, make sure they focus on him, and not Clara.
