Jack might not see it, trailing after her as he is, but Codi's expression is distinctly unsurprised. 'Pirate' had been her first guess, followed by the more tasteful 'sailor.' His decorum just screams of being stuck on a boat in the ocean for months at a time with the same group of people, whose only entertainment is occasionally finding other ships to mess up. Not that Codi would ever say as much out loud; that would be plain unhelpful, and besides, she feels like she's got a good thing going with Jack following her orders and all. Best to not question it and let him live the dream.
As for herself - well, she could go the boring route. But Codi suspects that she needs something equally bombastic to continue holding Jack's attention. "Leader of the world's first superhuman vigilante organization," she answers, chin high as she turns to flash Jack a wide, confident grin. "When anyone needs a hero, or just some reliable muscle, they call me. I suppose it's not as adventurous as being a pirate, but saving people is its own reward."
That, and getting paid for it. The money was very nice.
