With his gun ready on hand, he took off, following after Codi.

The fading sound of gunshots might have proved that the battle they should have been at, was nearing its end. Or perhaps, at least within their area. Though he promised to cover Codi’s back, the pirate’s eyes were marveling at the forest’s haunting beauty. A majority of his life was spent at the sea, at least, as far as he remembered. Hence, the verdant and earthen sight of the forest was rare to his eyes, which mostly registered the hues of the vast ocean that reflected the azure sky and its tangerine twilight.
