Eventually, the door budged, not of his own effort but by someone from outside. Jack's reflexes caused him to leap away from the door, as if a sudden rush of strength coursed through him. To his surprise, his visitor was just another human but the newcomer's strength was frightening to have destroyed the seemingly invulnerable door to his cell.

A gun flew in Jack's direction, almost kissing the ground if not for his inhuman reflex to catch it. The events that succeeded flew by similarly quickly. All that registered to him was the stranger's directive for escape.

Dumbfounded, Jack simply ran after the stranger who introduced himself as Marcus, suddenly accompanied by the sound of gunshots and explosions from afar. All he could do was imitate his ‘savior’, crouching whenever the man stoop low, and hugging the wall should they suspect incoming enemies.

“Where we be’ headin’ matey!,” Jack spat out, unable to hold his curiosity. In spite of the battle noises from around them, their escape appeared to be getting by smoothly.
