It barely shows on Codi's face - just a bit of a tug at the corners of her already confident smirk - but she could not be happier about Elma's performance so far. The woman just knows what to do. This is a person she needs to keep in her back pocket. She'll need to get her name and contact details once they get out of here.

To that end, her next objective becomes as much an attempt at fishing more intel out of the harried receptionist as it is a test of Elma's adaptability. Codi steps forward and passes Elma a pleading stare. "Please, officer," she sighs (intentionally dodging giving a name; she didn't see what alias was on the ID card Elma flashed at the gates, and she has no idea that it was created on-the-spot and could likely be changed just as quickly). "No need to brow-beat the poor man. Last inspection's abysmal results were hardly his fault."

Having set up a classic good-cop/bad-cop routine, Codi leans into the lifeline that she's just thrown to the receptionist, flashing him a sympathetic smile while he fumbles at his computer. "No need to stress about it," she reassures him. "Just need to check us in and provide us with a copy of your most recent evacuation map, and we'll be on our way."
