Codi flickers her eyes over to him once, just to gauge how genuine that response is and where it might be coming from, before returning her attention to the wheel and pretending that she didn't notice.
"It's 'good' because it turned on!" Codi answers cheerfully. Her hand feels for the stick and - ugh, a manual? In space? This is going to be rough. Not because Codi doesn't know how to operate a manual transmission (she absolutely does, since she's favored driving older cars to avoid frying the electronic components in newer models), but because the stick layout is completely foreign to her. There's something like twelve notches and none of them are labeled.
Ignoring her displeasure, Codi rambles on, defaulting to the excuse she used as a child to see how much it unsettles Rokuro and confirms her suspicions about him. "It's a 'girl' because it told me!"
