Feeling nothing in the way of light or darkness from Kylo, Rokuro assumes he is the same as many other rebels he's met. A strong fighter, but without the gift/curse of true power. Whether it's arrogance, concern, or some complicated combination of the two, he will hold the barrier for as long as Kylo is engaged in battle-- or Rokuro loses the strength to do so.
Depending on how hard Kylo fights, and if it appears he is struggling in any way (or even messes up slightly) Rokuro will whip a jet of water in his direction, knocking his enemies feet out from under them to give Kylo the advantage. You know. Just in case he needed it.
If Kylo fights excellently, perfectly, Rokuro will simply maintain the barrier and otherwise let him be. At least until the lower ranks of Sylphid security part for two much larger, heavily armed guards to join the fray. Rokuro doesn't recognize the extremely large gatling-style guns they are carrying, but he does know nothing that size can be of good news for them.
He shifts position, backing up into Kylo. Close enough for the much-taller man to hear him speak quietly over the din of battle.
