[There was no better place to learn more about a place’s flora and fauna than at a local greenhouse. While most of the flora in the Broken World seemed to err on the side of fungus, flowers still managed to persist symbiotically or stubbornly alongside their fungal cousins and thrived alone while under the care of some very persistent botanists and florists.
The Doctor figured that if there was the development of medicines from the Troop, what was to say that they couldn’t be combined with some of the local flora as well? That’s mostly why he finds himself in the Troop that day - but he’d be lying if he said that it was to keep his mind off of the things Clara had confessed to him after he had led her out of the Troop.
He’s currently deep in thought scanning and sketching a flower that looked a lot like Queen’s Tears except for the fact that it glowed a bioluminescent purpley pink when he hears the door to the greenhouse open. He normally doesn’t care about people being in the same space as him - it’s a public greenhouse after all - but he recognizes the tehterzilla from the conversation with Obi-Wan right after their disastrously public tethering.
Oh god no. His split second thinking isn’t very successful as he ducks behind a pillar that is far too skinny to hide even a stick insect-like man like him. Maybe if he just stopped breathing Rokuro wouldn’t notice him but probably not who are we kidding.]
