You'd think that with all of the comedians Shepard had to endure during her time on the Normandy, she'd be able to catch a teasing joke, but alas. Elle's eyes widened, and her jaw fell loose before Clara assured her that she was only kidding.

"...Oh. Well, thanks for that," she says with a smirk. Shepard is way too easy to mess with.

She nods at Clara's offer as she hands her a bottle of water. "That'd be good. I'll let you know when I'm ready for it." She tries to sit up straighter than she was. It takes a bit of effort, but she gets there eventually.

"So," she unscrews the lid. "What happened to being a nurse, anyway? Did a certain time travel bug bite you before you could complete your studies?"
