It's both a relief and a loss when his grandfather's hand moves. He's grateful for the continued contact, and stunned by the interest that shows even through the unchanging shape of the mask.

He opens his mouth, and closes it again. He's not sure whether anyone has ever in his life simply asked him to talk about himself. Most people bring too many of their own assumptions to ask something so completely open ended. He has no idea where to begin.
