That would have been an unpleasant end to an already trying night. Tech hadn't even been aware they'd been in the bar that long. Probably not a good sign.

Even as he is now, he's still very much looking out for his companion, and it's not lost on him the vulnerability presented by the lack of footwear. At least heading towards the main complex won't see them having to cross any unpaved terrain, and the only real problem will be not falling over in mounting any stairs. Or walking into closed automated doors.
