The brief look Tech gives Rokuro suggests that he really doesn't have any better grasp of the situation.

"That is entirely uncalled for," Tech says with a frown as the man rattles Rokuro in his seat. "What more do you want? No one asked you to spend your stipend so frivolously, and it seems rather rude to be demanding some appreciation for the gesture." He gives a curt nod in Rokuro's direction. "But if it's gratitude you want, then fine; thank you for your generosity."

His alcohol-fogged mind half anticipates what comes next but it still comes as a surprise when he finds himself grabbed by the collar and hoisted from his seat by one of the other rebels.

"We don't want your gratitude, we want reimbursement!"
