He couldn't help but avert his gaze back at Donnie. Family was a word that he never thought would still trigger a bit of pain in his heart. Especially not after having lost everyone he had long before he was abducted into this world. There wasn't a word, he could form to respond, just a simple tap on the turtle's shoulder.

Shortly after, his eyes darted back at the scenery below, but the thrill that it previously brought him seemed to have left. Perhaps he did miss his family as well, or at least those that came close to being one. In his mind, flashes of his pirate mates fought with his attention on the scenery beyond. A deep sigh inadvertently left his lips as his thoughts remained lost in his past.
