"Quite easy mate!," he bragged, eyeing the hoverboard as Donnie left. He then leapt confidently, his feet landing firmly on the floating board. Balancing came natural to him, being an experienced sailor. Navigating the other-worldly gadget however, was a completely different ordeal.

The smug look on his face gradually diminished to a frown, as he tried to recall how he made the gadget move. I was indeed quite a while since the disruption of the leylines occured and he didn't manage to catch some practice since then. It took him a few minutes before he managed a decisive stance. After freeing his lungs with a sighing breath, he tapped the space behind his right leg which made him dart backwards. "Woops, wrong one," he chuckled then slid his foot to dash forward.

It wasn't as easy as keeping his balance, but the controls came back to him just when he needed to evade a couple of trainees that were huddling in the middle. He finally lifted off, jittering for a moment but managed to stabilize his flight as he rose a few feet from the ground. Not wanting to make his companion wait, he simply made a whole trip around the training area before coming back down, stopping a few feet past Donnie.
