"Of course ye' are!," Jack chuckled awkwardly, his foolishness finally sinking in and lemony teeth showing themselves in his wide grin. The stranger's dull expression, somehow alerted the pirate of his diminishing interest, not that he had caught the mutant's attention enough, to begin with. Having a creature of the sea before him, however, made him feel closer to home since he got stuck in this strange world. That was enough to inspire him to keep the mutant's company.

"This...hoverboard...right...here," he stuttered, looking for the right words to play with. "...was just repaired yesterday. But I bet ye' could do better!," he exclaimed, regaining his confidence as he aimed to compliment the mutant. "The name's Jack by the way. And I think yer' great with these, so could ye' take a look at me ship 'ere?" he continued, moving closer to mutant as he spoke.
